Case Study: How Autoclaims rebranded for success.

Building a stronger, more credible industry presence.

Autoclaims had the expertise, industry know-how and they were already delivering smart, technology-driven solutions to their clients - But their brand didn’t reflect the level of professionalism or expertise they brought to the table.


They didn’t have a strong online presence or a clear visual identity. Nothing that reflected the calibre of work they were doing or the high-level clients they aimed to serve. To grow and position themselves as a trusted partner to large insurers, they needed a brand and digital presence that matched their expertise.


That’s when they reached out to Clarke & Clarke. Together, we set out to elevate their brand, create a professional online footprint and lay the groundwork for long-term growth.




The Challenge

Before working with Clarke & Clarke, Autoclaims faced several roadblocks. Their name, logo, and messaging didn’t reflect the quality of their work and without a professional online presence, they were missing opportunities to connect with the very clients they were built to serve. They needed to reposition their brand to gain credibility and stand out in a space where trust and professionalism matter most.

  • Challenges they faced
    • With no website, no social media, and no Google My Business profile, potential clients had no way to research or validate their business.

    • Their previous branding was minimal, consisting of only a basic logo with no cohesive brand identity, messaging or strategy.

    • Originally named ACS (Automotive Claims Solutions), they faced branding challenges due to the acronym being widely used (601 other NZ businesses shared it) and the full name being too long for effective communication.

    • Without a recognisable, professional brand, Autoclaims struggled to market their services effectively and establish trust with corporate decision-makers.

The Solution

This wasn’t just a design project. It was a full rebrand, grounded in strategy and collaboration. From the outset, Clarke & Clarke worked closely with the Autoclaims team to understand their goals, reposition the business, and create a brand that would resonate with their target audience.


Our strategy and research work revealed their business name, Automotive Claims Solutions, was long, hard to recall, and the acronym ACS was already in use by over 600 other businesses in New Zealand. It lacked the uniqueness and clarity needed to stand out. Based on our findings, we recommended the name Autoclaims. A shorter alternative that was distinctive and memorable.


From there, we reshaped their visual identity, refined their messaging, and created a digital presence that reflects the credibility and professionalism behind their work.
